Definitely agree — I think the trouble comes when those who get a diagnosis then view that diagnosis as an indelible mark on their character, which is easy to do when these rather serious capital-letter words are thrown your way. It’s tough to feel like there’s a way out, as much as it does help to understand and define what you might be working through. So it’s all about balance in the end, and figuring out how we can help each other move forward, as you say!
