I can see what you mean but I don’t think it really addresses what I was getting at, which was merely to point out that you can’t protect against the random unknowable ways a potential client will act on Upwork. If they do become troll, Upwork is absolutely not on your side. So treating potential clients as though you are a shopkeeper is nice in principle, but not likely to matter if someone does take random action against you on that platform. It’s more like someone starting a fire in the shop and your insurance company assuming it’s your fault. If you enjoy using it though, all power to you! My point was rather that individuals should be aware, and ensure they diversify where they find their work, for the sale of risk mitigation.

Glad I’m not the only one with nuisance clients too, as you say!
